Our social calendar is filling up!!! We met up with a mommy I met on cafemom.com and her three kids out at a splash pad in Peoria yesterday morning. She has 2 girls, 5 and 7 and a little boy who's 18 months. Everyone had a great time and it was so nice to have a fun "mommy conversation"! We are meeting up with some other new mommies and babies tomorrow at the park by our house. Thank goodness: something to do!! The kids spent the night at G & M's last night and Jas and I had a date-yea!!! We also went thing morning and saw the new Indiana Jones- which we both loved- super fun and old-school!!
I am seriously, seriously thinking about getting extensions... The hair is that bad. I HATE IT and it is making me INSANE! It sucks that I have to meet all these new people looking like damn Buster Brown. Anyone want to start a collection fund for me??? Donations can be made at www.annelooksridiculous.com

It's okay, I finally stopped crying around 6 pm...
So...Jas was home this morning before work, Olivia had Ashton over and Bubs was (shocker) watching B.T.B., and I decided to go get my haircut. There are SO many cute mommies out here with adorable hair and I was tired of schlepping around town with my hair in a poof on top of my head (a.k.a. no style whatsoever). I went into a nice salon up the road and had a big talk with the guy about what I wanted, what lengh, how I have a TON of hair, blah, blah, blah. I was thinking sort of like Ni's when she first got it cut- a slanty bob basically. Yea...not so much. It was really great looking until he started layering it, which in my hair's case means making it into a mushroom! All of the chic slanty-ness of it went out the window and Dorothy Hamill flew back in. DAMN IT ALL TO HELL!!!! Why can't I EVER get the haircut I want???? Why do I ALWAYS spend 3 months waiting for it to get to where I can stand it??? I seriously had a meltdown- especially when Jas said the dreaded sentence, "I just have to get used to it." Which is code for "What the hell have you done???" Great. I am hoping that it will have fallen, straightened, something by the time I have to see any of yall again. Nice. And don't ask for pictures, because you won't get them.

Apology
So...Miss O and I stayed up all night together, while she, too, had the stomach flu. Since she did not eat McDonalds, I have to think we just all passed around a 24 hour bug, so I apologize for attacking Ronald. Now we are just waiting for Luke to get it. Lovely.
I am starting to sew MJ's bedding today- wish me luck! I have spent the past couple of days cutting everything out, so now the sewing begins! Here are some pics of all the fabric, along with some of the decor I've gathered so far. Lysh found the antiqued tags for me on eBay, and I bought the wooden blocks off Etsy! They were misprinted so they never had paint added to them, so I was able to paint them to match and they were a $1.00 a piece!!! I also bought the garden lady 70% off from JoAnns- it was part of thier Spring decorations. Thought she could be "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary"... This is the thriftiness nursery ever! Ha!

Sick and Sicker
Wipe that damn smile off your face, sir! Because of this man, Jason and I have been praying to the porcelain god for the past 24 hours. YUCK! Food poisoning is the worst! Poor kids were bored to tears today while Jas and I sat around and talked about how crappy we feel... I'm sure tomorrow will be better...

God Bless The U.S.A. -Seriously!
Two Important Bulletins: Jason got a job and the baby has a name! He was offered a position at the Biltmore, and Miss Morgan Jane can officially own her "MJ" nickname! THANK GOD FOR BOTH!!!
New Development: I'm going to try to get it on tape- but for some reason when you ask Bub's "What's your name?" he answers "Pierre"!?!?! Seriously, everytime!
Miss O had her first performace at DC last night, when all of the kindergarten classes put on an All American Review after we had all stuffed ourselves with hot dogs and chips! It was 110 degrees, but totally worth it to sit out and see her sing all the songs she had been singing for us (at warp-speed a'la the Chipmonks, I might add-ha!)for the past two weeks! She will be finished with school on Thursday and we are celebrating by going to G & M's to swim and visit. Please keep us all in your prayers- we need them.

The Golf Cart!
Martha and Gary got Bubs and Bryant little golf carts for Christmas this year. Our car was too full on the drive home, so we left his here and Martha had planned to mail it to us sometime. Well! Now that we are here, we brought it home with us the other day, and we finally sat down and put it together (with minimal fighting, I might add...)
The first thing Luke did this morning was want to get in and drive it around. I didn't think he could do it, but sure enough! He hoped in and Jas showed him how to push the pedal. He would do it in little spurts, but got SO excited! We both were dying laughing and I grabbed the camera! It didn't take him more than 10 minutes, before he figured out how to a)push the pedal for longer stretches at a time, and b) how to REALLY steer! UNBELIEVEABLE! and TOO CUTE!

IT'S FRIDAY
Ahhhhhhhh, Friday! I spent the morning running errands with Bubs: everywhere from Wal-mart to the Active Forever store to get some ramps for Gary. I just LOVE nice people, like the lady that works at that store... I promised O we would go splash after school, so I brought her suit and Bubs, and we walked over to the park after school! It was THE place to be- they both had a blast!
We dined outside tonight thanks to our new patio table and chairs! FABULOUS! It was so nice outside and the patio has little misters all around the edge (the water feature, not little men- just to clarify-ha!)- We felt like we were on vacation or something...
Check out the Study Buddies! Bubs wanted to be up at the island working while O finished her homework last night. It was too adorable, the concentration level of both was pretty intense! Bubs has been coloring on the patio alot with chalk and keeps telling me he's either drawn an airplane, Hot Dog or Bob...Okay, sure....

What A Fun Day!
So today was Olivia's Kindergarten End Of The Year party, and I signed up to come and help out. There wasn't much for me to do because thier room mom is awesome and had everything out and ready to go... They had the party at the park and splash pad across the parking lot from the school. O had a great time and I met a Mommy Friend-yea! Her daughter is in O's class and she also has a little boy Bub's age. The next fun thing we have is O's All American Dinner and Show, which will be next Monday evening....

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
This morning, I woke up at -gasp!- 8:45am to find my bedroom door closed (read: peace and quiet). When I came out I was greeted by my precious family, who had made me pictures, coffee, bagels and had gotten me flowers! They then broke into a round of "Happy Mother's Day To You" (sung to the tune of Happy Birthday) and then promptly left for a walk so I could drink my first cup of coffee in peace. DARLING! DARLING! DARLING! I just love them. (Luke then spent the rest of the morning smacking the mylar balloon around the living room with the plastic stick. Nice.)

A Boy Named Bubs...
So I'm giving Bubs a bath tonight, and between being splashed every two seconds and convincing him that it is, indeed, better to sit than stand in the tub, I start to think about all the crazy changes that have occurred with our little man since we got out here...While on the road, he didn't have one bottle, much less even ask for one, so PRESTO: No more "bahbahs". That was easy... Then as of last weekend, he decided to start speaking in REAL sentences ("I outside, too", "Go see G-Daddy", "NONONONONONO") It so fun- but kind of sad: He's getting so big!
And to then to top it off, his crib broke when it was being put back together, so he got upgraded to his "Big Boy" bed a little sooner than we had planned. He has done really well, but we have realized that we never really have WATCHED him fall asleep before. We have to sit with him until he falls asleep now, and WHOA! There is a lot of acrobatics involved in him getting settled- and it always ends with his feet on the wall!???.... But, no matter how big he is getting, he has shown that sometimes you do need to still be a baby...
We're Here!!!
The trip out here wasn't too bad except for a few little bumps along the way, namely: listening to High School Musical 2 about 10 times, Luke getting car sick while driving though the mountains, almost running out of gas in the MIDDLE of NOWHERE (thanks Lysh, for saving me -AGAIN!), surviving numerous dust storms, being stopped by border patrol and a run-in with a crack-head at Wendy's in New Mexico. All that matters is WE MADE IT! To top it off, it only took Romo about 2 minutes of being out of the car here to have a run-in a cactus. He has learned his lesson as to what to try to pee on, and what should PROBOBLY been left alone- HA!
So! I have been up to my eyeballs in boxes, trash and RANDOM items that seemed to sneak there way out here with us, but we have worked so hard the house is coming together! YEA!!! Here is the slideshow of the house "Before" and after I clean house today while the kids are at M & G's I'll make an "After" for tomorrow....
